After a two-county chase on I-20, Van Zandt and Smith County troopers were able to stop a woman running from law enforcement with a spike strip.

The driver, Tammy Scarborough, tried to evade authorities at speeds up to 90 mph after not initially pulling over for speeding.

Scarborough did pull over 2 times, but then sped off and was eventually stopped with a spike strip.

Scarborough is charged with evading arrest.

DPS officials were seen leaving the scene of a high-speed chase on I-20 with a black SUV.

KETK has not yet confirmed the driver was in law enforcement's custody.

Smith County DPS officials tell KETK they are chasing a vehicle down Interstate 20.

They say the vehicle is heading Eastbound and crossed into Smith County around 11:00 a.m. on Monday.

The vehicle has pulled over numerous times, only to take off down the road again.

DPS says they are setting up spikes to catch the runner.

KETK has a crew on the way and will provide more details as they become available.
