AS REPORTED IN THE NACOGDOCHES DAILY SENTINEL:

Thursday afternoon's release of U.S. Census data revealed a 10.3-percent increase in the city's population over the last decade and a 9-percent growth countywide.

Texas grew by more than 20 percent over the last decade, more than twice the national rate of 9.7 percent, the Associated Press reported. The state's population stands at 25.1 million.
