Nacogdoches County, Texas (KETK) — Nacogdoches County deputies seized a large amount of meth and arrested one person during a traffic stop Wednesday evening.
Sheriff Bridges said deputies pulled over a vehicle on Highway 59 North for a traffic violation. During the incident, the driver, who was alone, became nervous and changed his story multiple times while talking to authorities. While authorities were sifting through the vehicle, they found a backpack in the passenger seat, which held two ounces of crystal methamphetamine. Deputies also discovered a small package of meth on the driver.
Authorities arrested Ben Gartman, 32, of Deer Park, and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony. Gartman was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail. His bond was been set at $10,000.
