Nacogdoches will conduct a citywide warrant sweep beginning Monday, August 2nd.

The operation will concentrate on offenders that have warrants in Nacogdoches Municipal Court. Beginning at daylight August 2nd, Nacogdoches police officers will begin serving warrants at homes and businesses.

“It is my strong suggestion that people who have warrants or unpaid fines contact the Municipal Court as soon as possible”, said Sgt. Greg Sowell of the Nacogdoches Police Department. “By taking care of these matters at the Court, a person can avoid the embarrassment of being arrested on the job or in the presence of family and friends”.
Persons with municipal warrants also run the risk of being arrested on a routine traffic stop, he added.

The Nacogdoches Municipal Court is located at 217 West Hospital Street in Nacogdoches. Their hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. They may be reached by telephone at 936.559.2641.
