Nacogdoches Hospital Board to take action on property
AS REPORTED IN THE NACOGDOCHES DAILY SENTINEL:
Nacogdoches County Hospital District board members will meet this afternoon to discuss monthly reports and to consider purchasing a piece of property at 611 Tejas St. At last month's board meeting, Tim Hayward, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital chief executive officer, asked board members for more negotiation time regarding the building on Tejas Street.
"This time, I will ask the board to purchase the property, because we have completed negotiations with the owner," he said.
The hospital's chief financial officer, Jane Ann Bridges, will give two audit reports and the monthly financial report.
"Jane Ann will present the year-end retirement plan audit and year-end audit report," Hayward said.
Board members will take action on an agreement with Medical Imaging Resources, Inc. for the lease of a CT scanner until the hospital receives the one they recently purchased. Hayward will also tell board members about the bronchoscope hospital administrators recently purchased for the hospital's GI Lab. A bronchoscope is used to examine the windpipe and bronchial tubes, and it can remove tissue or secretion for observation.
