Nacogdoches K-9 unit sniffs out 5 pounds of marijuana

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY — Five pounds of marijuana has been seized by the Nacogdoches County Constable.
Precinct 4's Deputy Marble conducted a traffic stop on Friday morning after noticing the driver of a Toyota was not wearing his seat belt.
Deputy Marble observed the driver to be very nervous and inconsistent in his statements about where he was going.
After questioning the driver, a police K-9 was called to the scene. The dog alerted officials and they conducted a search of the vehicle.
Five pounds of marijuana was found hidden in a plastic bag in the trunk.
57-year-old Henry Kinerd from Peoria, Illinois was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of marijuana.
