Nacogdoches, Tx — Nacogdoches police are investigating reports of an person who sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl.

On Friday, authorities became aware of the situation after picking up the teenager for being a runaway. The child told officers the suspect, who is a known person, forced her to have sex in a house several days prior to the report.

The name of the alleged perpetrator has not been released.

The case is still under investigation.
