NACOGDOCHES - A 28-year-old Nacogdoches woman dies after being hit by a car Monday night. It happened in the 4600 block of North Street.

Police say Lynde Kristine Chunn was crossing North Street, when she stepped into the path of a car. Ms. Chunn was pronounced dead at the scene by a local justice of the peace.

Officers say no charges have been filed in this accident.
