NASA Scrubs Discovery Launch

August 25, 2009 - 6:37am

FLORIDA— NASA scrubbed the launch of space shuttle Discovery Tuesday morning.

Just before launch, storms moved into the area near Florida's Kennedy Space Center. The seven-person crew will wait at least another day before starting their mission to restock the International Space Station. The mission will deliver storage racks and a new sleeping compartment to the station.

The next launch attempt is scheduled for 12:10 a.m. CST. NBC's Kristen Dahlgren reports from the Kennedy Space Center.
