National Fire Prevention Week
October 4, 2009 - 10:30pm
TYLER - This is National Fire Prevention Week, and local firefighters are teaching young kids to do just that.
"The main goal of Fire Prevention Week is to get primary school-aged children familiar with things that start fires, and obviously things that would prevent fires if they were more careful. How to notify the Fire Department in case there is a fire or an emergency," Tony Gumber says.
Two simple things to remember: Get a smoke detector and a fire extinguisher.
