TYLER - A new anti-bullying bill drafted in Texas would add to a law already in place that protects students from being bullied.

Texas state representative Mark Strama says, his bill would expand the definition of bullying, and include a section on cyber-bullying.

The bill would require all school districts to report any incident of bullying to state officials. The bill would also give authority to school officials to move a bully into a separate classroom.

It's an option only for the victim, under current law.

I am so glad that someone is finally stepping up to put a Bullying Law into affect. The Schools don't seem to want to protect the children and more and more children are committing suicide. The Good Lord put us on the earth to love and take care of each other and it seems we not doing much that he asks of us in protecting our children. The children are the future of this nation and we want them to learn to like each other rather or not they are like us. God bless this new law.

I'm all for it, especially after my son got trpped on purpose this past Friday. You should see the bruises! He was severly bruised on right hip/pelvic bone, majorly scraped on his left knee, and it caused him to have a sprained right wrist arm and on top of that, loss of hearing temporarily in one ear, and a massive headache.

dang your kid needs to tuffen up lol

Sounds like a good move to me.
