Tyler, TX — It's a new chapter for Blanca Albarran, student, at Tyler Junior College. She thought is was impossible to go back to college after dropping out of high school.

Blanca, 35, on the Dean's list, graduate from the LV (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Program at Tyler Junior College

She was determined to pursue a career in the medical field. Years later Blanca enrolled in a GED program, and after she completed the program she received a call from her GED instructor about possibly going to college.

She enrolled in the Literacy Council of Tyler to prepare herself for college courses. With all her hard work.... she was on her way to college.

Today, she knows ...it is possible.

Blanca walked across the stage to receive her associated degree.

Now...she is planning to accomplish her next goal.

Blanca says she is happy to finally graduate and to finally work in the field she is passionate about. Her friends and family were all there to celebrate this great accomplishment.
