Longview — Longview police have arrested a second person in connection with a Monday night robbery that left a Longview teen dead.

Robert Acles, 17, drove Xavier Ray Ward, 20, and Noah Wood, 17, to Towne Oaks North apartments after the trio made plans to steal marijuana from a residence there, according to police reports.

Wood was killed in the foiled robbery.

Acles was held Thursday in the Gregg County Jail on a charge of aggravated robbery.

A fourth person made arrangements for weapons to use in the robbery, according to the statement Acles gave police.
