Bicycle creators promise to help the environment and get people fit

January 24, 2009 - 10:20pm

TYLER - Many people have already given up on their New Year's Resolution to get fit. But a brand new Tyler company has found a way to make exercise something to look forward to, instead of dreading.

While spending some time in China, Bill Hebb noticed most people over there weren't driving cars, but instead riding bicycles. But they weren't any regular bikes, they were electric bikes.

So after Hebb arrived back in the state he got the idea to introduce these environmentally friendly bikes to East Texas. Soon after he formed Hebb E-Bikes, which is growing in popularity by the day. "The main difference between the E-Bike and a normal bike is a small, yet powerful electric motor on one wheel hub that provides the rider with power when needed just by twisting a throttle on the handle bars," Hebb said.

The bikes are available for demonstration in Tyler or you can order them online. For more information contact:

Ithink its about time cause East Texas has alot of hills that us bikers cannot or will not ride up so we get off and walk our bikes up the hills and with the motor it would make it easier for us.

about time!
