TYLER - A new political action committee is joining forces with Grassroots America to vote no on the nearly $90 million T.I.S.D. bond. They're called "Why Relocate Rice" and the group, created this week, is gaining support from Grassroots America. The group, according to members, started when they found out Rice Elementary could be relocated. Tyler school officials says they haven't decided to move Rice yet, they say that can be done after the election but, the group Why Relocate Rice says that's the problem.
T.I.S.D. school officials say once the bond election is over, they plan on setting up a meeting with residents on what to do with the current Rice Elementary School.

Refurbish in current location!!!As you did the other elementary schools. Taxes are elevated enough.

Why pass any bond in tyler for schools? Where eles do they have to pay for spainish text books in an american english speaking school!Tisd waste more money moving temp building then any school in 4 states. An caters to to children of KNOWN illegals. Deport those familys an you would need any more schools!!

Indeed??? We are in a financial crunch already. Enough already...C.Jones
