A grand gala is planned this weekend for the faculty and staff of the astroscience department of the Univ. of Colo.@ Boulder. Honoree's include Dean Myship Hascomein, Prof. Hosem Downs, and department head, Ms.Tres Favors. Honoree's will recieve a once in a lifetime achievement award and a numbered Swiss bank accounts for their efforts in procuring the funding for the MAVEN project. VIP's will include Congressman Jared Polis. Polis is well known for his love of earmarks and kick-backs.

I seriously doubt they'd send one of the retired space shuttles like what is displayed in the picture, but that would be a great way to retire them because they could be used as platforms for human use at some point in the future. Load them up with supplies, and land them on Mars!
