HODGENVILLE, KY - Honest Abe is getting a makeover.
The U.S. mint has unveiled the first redesign of the one-cent coin in 50 years.
The head still depicts Abraham Lincoln, but the tail is a different story.
There are four tail images, each one representing an era of Lincoln's life.
The first design went into circulation Thursday, the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth.
The remaining pennies will be released in each calendar quarter throughout the year.
