LONGVIEW - If you've looked at your most recent electricity bill, chances are, you've done a double take.

That's because this time of year, bills go up to keep the thermostat down.

But there's a new company in Longview that says it can help
Tejas Energy Solutions is the first renewable energy company in the Longview area, and it just opened up last week.

The company's new owners say they've already seen a big demand for their company, as more businesses and homeowners are looking for ways to cut their energy costs.

The Obama Administration is offering rebates for anyone who puts solar panels on their house.

Thirty percent of that cost will be payed for by the federal government, and depending on which state you live in, even more could be paid for with state rebates.

The owners of Tejas Energy Solutions say those rebates help offset the cost of the initial investment, which is one reason they chose now to set up shop.
