Longview, TX (Pine Tree ISD) — Scott Mann, who was approved as a new Director of Transportation by the PTISD Board of Trustees at the regular February meeting, took the wheel this week to lead the department.

Mann is the former Pine Tree Junior High School History teacher where he assisted the administrative team with discipline, bus referrals and supervisory duties. Mann also taught and assisted with Administrative duties at PT Middle School campus for four years. Prior to working in Pine Tree he taught at Aragon Middle School in Houston, Tx, Thornton Middle School in Katy ISD, and Carpenter Elementary campus in Nacogdoches.

Scott Mann replaces Jack Davis who retired earlier this year. His wife , Leah Mann, teaches in Kilgore ISD, and they have two girls, Rylie 12, and Kamryn 8. Mann brings !5 years of experience in driving a bus and managing personnel and projects in athletics and classroom settings.

Pine Tree ISD provides school bus transportation to all students living two or more miles from school. All students in grades PK-6th grade are eligible to ride the bus. This service is provided at no cost to students.
