WASHINGTON, D.C. - Millions of American senior citizens and others who receive Social Security checks will not be getting an annual cost of living increase next year.
Trustees who oversee Social Security say it is possible that the cost of living adjustment will need to be suspended for two years.
This hasn't happened since the automatic adjustments went into effect in 1975.
