Norman Borlaug Dies at 95

DALLAS - Nobel Prize winning agricultural scientist Norman Borlaug passed away at his home in Dallas Saturday night, at the age of 95.
Mr. Borlaug was known as the father of the "Green Revolution" and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970 for his contributions to high-yield crops in the developing world.
His "Green Revolution" was credited in helping to avert global famine during the second half of the 20th century.
President George Bush awarded Mr. Borlaug with the Congressional Gold Medal in July 2007.
