NY Times cutting deal with college professors

NEW YORK - Some call this a sales pitch, others call it 'indoctrination.'
We are talking about the New York Times offering a deal to university professors where students are required to read the Times in exchange for a free subscription.
One educator showed a copy of the times offer to the director of 'Times Watch.'
It reads: all faculty are entitled to a complimentary subscription of the new york times delivered to their home when the paper is listed in their syllabus as required reading.
If 15 or more students subscribe, the professors receive a handsome portfolio as a free gift.
