Obama weighing Afghanistan
November 12, 2009 - 6:31pm
WASHINGTON - Reports say President Obama is getting conflicting advice from the top two men.
General Karl Eikenberry, the U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan has reservations about sending more forces.
Eikenberry believes the Afghanistan government is too corrupt and sending more troops would risk more american lives, but the current U.S. commander General Stanley McChrystal, wants at least 40 thousand more troops.
Some say this conflict is complicating the president's decision.
The commander in chief has ordered more information about how various new troops levels might affect the worsening situation in Afghanistan.
