According to Cherokee County DPS, authorities are attempting to recover a vehicle which is submerged in a creek off Highway 135 near Arp.

Officials believe a woman was driving near the Mud Creek Bridge, when she reportedly reached down for a CD, left the roadway and drove into a creek.

The woman is out of the car, uninjured, and crews are now attempting to retrieve the car, but due to the stream moving quickly, the car is moving, as well.

DPS tells KETK they do not suspect foul play and this is not an investigation, just attempting to save the car. No roads are blocked and no injuries were reported.
