TYLER - The City of Tyler has closed a section of Old Omen Road for construction.

The road is closed from Chapel Wood Boulevard, south to the three-way intersection of Old Omen, Old Bascom and County Road 262.

The construction will last for approximately three months and a detour has been set up.

Officials say the closure will save the city about $64,000 dollars, and allow for a safer work-site as they install underground utility lines.
