COMMERCE, Tx - Authorities say a suspect has been killed and an off-duty officer injured in a shootout in front of a Walmart.
A spokesperson for the city of Commerce says the suspect exchanged gunfire with police, then drove to the Walmart.
The suspect allegedly entered the Walmart carrying two firearms.

Talking about Walmart, hope you do not get me wrong that Joseph Casias should not have been told by WalMart that his legally using medical marijuana was ok, after which fire him for it. That's messed up, and they need to be raked over the coals for it. If something, they need to have denied him the job in the first place - and I hope he won't need to get payday loans or anything from a loan company to weather the difficult times ahead. That's out of line, even for WalMart, though it's within employer's rights (depending on state) to fire anyone and everyone for potentially anything. Michigan is an "at will" state.
