NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a gunman crashed through the gate at a Pillsbury plant in southern Indiana and fatally shot a man in the parking lot.
New Albany Police Capt. Keith Whitlow said Wednesday that a short time before the gunman arrived at the factory, he had fired shots outside a nearby home.
No other people were injured in the shooting at the plant or at the home. Authorities declined to release the identities of the dead man or the gunman.
Whitlow says several Pillsbury workers saw the fatal shooting, which was reported around 7 a.m., because it unfolded during a shift change at the plant and the parking lot was filled with people.
Mayor Doug England said the incident began as a domestic dispute at the house.
