An East Texas town is having its first ever open carry march.

Downtown Nacogdoches is the site of the open carry march.

Organizers estimate that there will be about 250 people attending the march.

Attendees can mix and mingle with venders selling gun t-shirts and passing out copties of the Constitution. Attendees will also be treated to music and food.

KETK's Neal Barton was a featured speaker at the event and the Texas Sons of Liberty were happy with the response.

I have mixed emotions about open carry (OC).

Now having a gun is no big deal to me as I've packed CHL since it started but...

As shown by the nut job at the Navy Yard, a nut who sees you have a gun can just attack you from behind with club or gun or knife and take it. Now it rarely happens but still you see it can.

So, those who want to OC, keep aware as you pack openly.
