Tomorrow, Thursday, at 10 a.m. Alba-Golden alumni Curt Collier will give a book talk on his new trilogy “Border Town Blood.”

On Saturday the Friends of the Library sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library annex on North Pacific Street. They’re planning a sale on all non-fiction.

The Mineola High School Auto Mechanics St. Patrick’s Day Street Rod and Custom Car Show will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the football field parking lot.

The Alba Ladies Club public forum is Saturday at the Alba Community Center for Pct. 1 commissioner and sheriff candidates beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a pie and cake auction at 6 p.m.
