A Jacksonville businessman bagged a big one Monday morning in eastern Cherokee County.

According to the Jacksonville Daily Progress, Randy Tennison, owner of Heath & Heath Hardware, caught the reptile at a lake in Ponta, Texas, near Highway 204. He plans to harvest the 11-footer's tail and sell the skin. The rest of the gator's fate has not been decided.

Tennison told the Daily Progress he already has a 10-foot alligator mounted from four years ago.

If you are wondering why the lake dweller doesn't look too imposing, please note Tennison is 6 feet 6 inches tall.

Great article.
Glad you corrected the misspelled name.
When you write about someone spelling their name is important.
Spelling, punctuation, grammar are all important.
If you can't get that correct people don't pay much attention to the content.
Believe me I know.
People stopped listening to me almost as soon as I started talking because I couldn't get it right.
It's hard to get it right when you're giving half truths.
People pick up on that after awhile.

You miss spelled "Tennison" in the article...
