Palestine Man is Shot and Killed

PALESTINE - The Palestine Police Department reports a man was killed by a gunshot wound today.

Police say it happened on the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Reports show they were called out around 12:45 this afternoon.

When they arrived, they found 21 year-old Jarod Burton with a pistol.

Investigators say Burton and 21 year-old Tyrone Price were in a fight before Price was shot.

Price was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Burton is in custody, facing murder charges.
