The "Parade of Homes" from the Tyler Area Builders Association is a Tyler tradition dating back to the 1950's.

Home builder Kevin Humphrey tells KETK it's a way for East Texans to see the latest and greatest advances in home-building.

It's for the builders to show off their work and for East Texans to get some ideas of their own.

Humphrey tells KETK, it's just plain fun as well.

"Its also a great social event like many of the other social events that we have in Tyler like the Azalea Trail and the Rose Festival and all those things. People like to come out and they see friends from church and school and everywhere and visit with them so it's a fun thing for people to do," Humphrey said.
