Pay attention to senior citizens during freeze
The winter freeze is dangerous for everyone - but especially for seniors

EAST TEXAS - The winter freeze is dangerous for everyone - but especially for seniors.
Safety officials say older citizens are often overlooked, yet, they are the most susceptible to hypothermia and dehydration.
Many seniors who are ill have poor circulation and really don't realize how cold they are.
Doctors say they don't have the ability to regulate their own temperature.
The East Texas Rescue Mission said they've seen an influx of people since the cold spell.
They said half of them are older adults and many have a home - yet can't afford to heat the house.
The ETRM said they are in dire need of warm coats, blankets and food donations.
