Pedestrian Killed Near Intersection In Marshall

MARSHALL - A car-pedestrian accident in Marshall on Saturday night, leaves one man dead.
It happened just after 8:00 p.m. on U.S. highway 59 near east travis street.
Marshall police say, a man was attempting to cross the highway about 150 feet from the intersection, when he was hit by by a man driving a pickup.
53-year-old Michael Paul Riggins, Sr. of Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck told police that the man, who was wearing dark clothing, ran-out in front of him.
No charges were filed against the driver.
