Texas Governor Rick Perry made it official today.

He is out of the race for President.

The primary reason is fairly obvious.

Only 5% of Republicans seem to have any interest in  a Perry White House.

But the endorsement of Newt Gingrich might surprise some folks.

Today, Governor Rick Perry bowed to the inevitable and dropped out of the race for President.

Everyone knew it was coming.

Especially after Perry’s early debate performances.

And he today endorsed Newt Gingrich for the nomination.

That came before a network interview with Gingrich’s second wife, and tough comments by Perry on the Speaker’s marital history.

Smith County Republican party chair Ashton Oravetz says, it wasn’t meant to be.

And some say, the debacle weakens Perry at home.

we neeed to require him to leave the governors office now being he is already receiving his retirement checks every month or stop his retirement check if he wants to keep receiving his pay check. NOT BOTH. HE ISN'T WORTH A WOODEN NICKEL MUCH LESS THE 1/4 MILLION A YEAR IN TAX DOLLARS WE ARE PAYING HIM ON TOP OF THAT 10 K A MONTH RENT HOUSE.
