Texas Gov. Rick Perry says that if he's elected president, he will work to make Washington as "inconsequential" to Americans' lives as possible.

Perry jumped into the Republican race on Saturday and outlined his principles in a speech at a conservative conference in Charleston, S.C.

Perry says America isn't broken but the government in the nation's capital is. He says he wants to cut taxes and free businesses from the shackles of regulation to spark an economic recovery.

The governor is blaming President Barack Obama for "rudderless" leadership.

America's grown-up since the last election and is no longer fooled by media propaganda no matter what voice it assumes. Under the ruse of conservative values; the media, pushes the government machine's conservative candidate, Rick Perry, while it denigrates America's candidate, Ron Paul. We are wise to the wedge issues, to the fakery in promoting a candidate by anti-sexism like with Bauchman, to your Rick Perry Christian value's wedge, to all the tactics of your tired old 1960's propaganda.

I did not vote for him as Governor for the same reason that has just been stated .. he talks a great talk but doesn't quite walk the walk .. I nicknamed him slick . Unfortunately, he is so slick that I do believe he will make a formidable candidate and what scares me is that Obama did the very same thing and he won .. .. .. Gosh, will it be another 4 years of business as usual in Washington?
