State governors are always on the lookout for new business for their states.

But, Governor Perry has a particular kind of business in his sights and that was your first clue.

The state of Connecticut is the home to some of the most profitable and historic firearms manufacturers in America.

And as far as some of them are concerned, it is becoming a very inhospitable place to be.

Remember when we were all excited about the possibility of Beretta moving their American operation to Texas and maybe Tyler? Well, that hasn’t happened yet, but the Governor is not wasting time.

He’s courting gunmakers in the Constitution state.

In the wake of the Newtown shooting tragedy, the state of Connecticut passed some very restrictive gun laws. And companies like Colt’s, who make the AR-15 rifle, were astonished and employees protested.

Connecticut is also home to Sturm Ruger, Mossberg and Marlin firearms.

And the governor wants them all to consider relocating to a state where regulations are few, and guns are popular.

Incidentally, Governor Perry will also visit New York, home of America’s oldest arms maker, Remington.

100 percent for Perry's plan! Let them come to Texas. Plenty of space and some good gun ranges near by! Ammo manufactures are welcome to!
