Photos: Vandals cause $5,000 in damage at Lufkin park

Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — Lufkin police are investigating recent vandalism at a local park where about $5,000 in property was damaged.
According to Lufkin Police Department, a maintenance worker at Winston Park, located in the 1000 block of Clinton, reported to police large amounts of graffiti throughout the area. The employee found obscene words and pictures on playground equipment, sidewalks and in restrooms.
Sergeant David Casper said the obscene words and pictures involved body parts.
The crime is believed to have taken place between July 3 at 5 p.m.and July 7 at 8:00 a.m.
