Pine Tree High School students pledge to give tobacco products the boot
Longview, TX —
The butts of the joke were no laughing matter Thursday at Pine Tree High School.
The East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, along with People Educating Communities About Tobacco, spent the day bringing the dangers of smoking cigarettes to the front lines during Tobacco Free Kids Day.
“The main focus is educating our young people about the dangers of tobacco and getting them to commit to not using it so we can reduce tobacco usage among young people,” said ETCADA representative Brooke Davis. “I’m very passionate about helping kids make healthy choices that will last their entire lifetime. That’s why I love prevention.”
