Lufkin ,Tx — Crowds filled the sidewalks of downtown Lufkin Saturday night waiting for the premiere opening and dedication of The Pines Theater that was restored to its original 1925 grandeur.
Once inside the lobby of the theater, it was standing room only at a light reception honoring the theater premiere, allowing the sold-out crowd to celebrate before national entertainer and Irish tenor Paul Byrom took the stage.
