gilmer — A Pittsburg man died Monday in a one-vehicle crash near Gilmer.

22-year old Chad Michael Blackburn was driving southbound at about 10 a.m. on US 271 just north of Gilmer, when his truck left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Blackburn was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
