Plane crash in South Korea
SEOUL, South Korea —
Yonhap News Agency reports that two people have been killed after an Asiana Airlines cargo plane crashed into the sea off South Korea's Jeju Island.
Yonhap reports the Coast Guard says the plane operated by South Korea's second-largest flagship carrier crashed Thursday.
It had reportedly left from South Korea's Incheon International Airport
bound for Pudong in China.
The Coast Guard tells the news agency it found debris from the Boeing-744 aircraft in waters about 66 miles (107 kilometers) west
of Jeju city early Thursday morning.
Officials say the plane had one pilot and one crew member on
board. They say the plane was trying to make its way to Jeju's
airport after reporting mechanical difficulties.
