Police: 9 injured in Quinlan ISD school bus crash
Hunt County, Texas (KETK) — Seven students were taken to a nearby hospital Monday morning when a Quinlan ISD bus was involved in an accident in southern Hunt County.
According to the Quinlan Police Department, the bush was involved in a crash on FM 751 near the intersection of FM 429. The bus was on a routine morning route when it collided with another vehicle on 751.
Emergency crews, including, AMR, Quinlan ISD PD, Hunt County S.O., Hunt County Constable, Texas DPS and local fire departments responded to the scene. An investigation was then launched.
A total of seven students were taken to Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville for non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital.
At this time, no information indicates any major injuries, and all of the students not transported were released to parents or taken by an alternate bus to school after being checked by medical personnel on scene.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by Quinlan ISD PD.
