Police arrest 1 after shooting, looking for second

Shreveport Police detectives have captured a local man wanted in connection with a shooting that wounded a woman and are still searching for the second suspect.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. last night, officers working R.I.D., or the robbery intervention detail, took 20-year-old Jeremy Rainey into custody near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Alma Street after a brief foot pursuit. Rainey, of the 1300 block of Lawhon Street in Shreveport, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon.
Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Rainey and 21-year-old Donald Ray King last night following a shooting just after 3:00 p.m. yesterday in the 1400 block of Clover Street during which 30-year-old Natalia Jackson was shot once in the left arm. King, of the 1800 block of Doris Street in Shreveport, is still on the run and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who has any information regarding the whereabouts of Donald Ray King is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
