Police investigating death of person that fell from sixth floor balcony

College Station, Texas (KETK) — Texas A&M University Police Department is investigating the death of a person that fell from a sixth floor balcony.
On Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 6:01 a.m., police were called for an unknown medical emergency on University Drive next to the Mitchell Physics Building.
On arrival, officers and the Texas A&M University Emergency Medical Services personnel found a dead person between the building and the street.
The preliminary investigation found that the person fell from the sixth floor balcony of the Physics building.
Justice of the Peace George Boyett has ordered an autopsy on the body.
The next of kin have been notified, but this is an ongoing investigation and the name of the deceased will not be released at this time.
