Tyler police tell KETK a man was robbed at Gun point at "The Reserves" apartment complex located at 2851 County Road 272.

The 19 year old told officers he was followed by at least two black males driving a white Chevy Impala.

Police say when he arrived at the front gate of the apartment complex, the driver of walked to his vehicle with a gun and told him to get out the car.

The robber then got into the driver's seat and left the area.

He is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, 6' 03, 240-250 lbs. with a dark complexion.

He was wearing a gray thermal shirt and gray sweat pants.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 or Tyler/Smith County Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any other felony case.

In these Obamanomics times it pays to keep alert and have a CHL with a good gun.

It's called a "carjacking". If you're being followed drive to a well lit area where there are people to be witnesses. Call the police. Always drive with your doors locked especially at night. There was a rage about 30 years ago when carjackers would steal your car at a red light in daylight! It's nothing new- just have to be careful at all times.
