Police searching for armed robbers in early morning burglary

Tyler — Tyler police are on the hunt for two men who were involved in a armed robbery early this morning.
Tyler Police Department received a call about a robbery in progress around 2:30 this morning from the Speedy’ s Exxon gas station located at 900 W. Front St.
Within moments officers were on scene searching the area for persons matching the suspect descriptions provided by the caller. The caller stated the suspects entered the business pointing a handgun and demanding cash. The suspects took an undetermined amount of money and fled the business westbound towards Glenwood Blvd.
The clerk described the suspects as two black males, the first about 5’8”, 150 pounds wearing a red bandana and a grey sweater. The second suspect was described as about 5’8”, 180 pounds wearing a brown cameo jacket/sweater. Officers were unable to locate the suspects following the incident. The scene was processed for evidence and the case remains under investigation.
