LONGVIEW - On Thursday April 1, 2010 at around 6:15 p.m., Longview Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call that a man had just been shot at 1012 Lambert Lane. Officers arrived and found that the victim, 52-yearold Donald Ray Lilly, had been taken to the hospital by friends and was no longer at the scene.

Witnesses told officers that two men came to the residence and demanded Lilly repay them for money owed. When Lilly did not comply, one of the men shot Lilly in the leg and fled the scene with Lilly’s wallet. Witnesses stated that the two men were known to Lilly and they provided detailed descriptions to assist in the investigation.

Lilly was treated at Good Shepherd Medical Center for non-life threatening
injuries.

Detective Gregg McCasland obtained arrest warrants for both men, arresting
Jermaine Lee King on Friday April 2, 2010. The second suspect, Richard Allen
Wofford Jr. is still at large. Anyone with information about Wofford Jr.’s
whereabouts is asked to contact Gregg County Crime Stoppers at 903-236STOP
or online at www.greggcountycrimestoppers.com.
