Alcohol Election Results in Tie

SMITH COUNTY— The alcohol election wrapped up Saturday but there is still a chance alcohol could be sold in one part of Smith County.
Proposition one would allow the legal sale of alcohol for off-premise consumption in Winona. Election results showed it was a tie with 94 votes for it and 94 votes against it.
Smith County Judge, Joel Baker, says those in favor can still petition for a recount.
