Colin Powell, a moderate Republican says his party needs to be more inclusive. His remarks are drawing fire from Conservatives. East Texans put in their two cents to our News Partner: KTBB Radio and Host Garth Maier.

Anybody can claim to be anything. I don't care what he says he is. The problem with what he is suggesting is that if you accept Liberal ideas in the name of growing the party then you are no longer Conservative and then we become even more of a 1 party democracy then we alredy are. On may issues there is not enough of a difference to give us real choice. To blur the lines more doesn't sound like the right thing to do. I think conservatives should try to avoid sounding pias be careful of the rhetoric but contrary to what the media wants eveyone to believe the country is still center right but being led far left. But I don't believe we will be majority center right for much longer because of immigration issues and demographic issues that will eventually cause this country to move further left no matter what we do.
